I'm a little behind on this one, but it's still worth reading: Philip Pullman, author of the astonishingly good "His Dark Materials" series, published a New York Times editorial called Why I Don't Believe in Ghosts on Halloween which is both entertaining and of high value to those of us still stuck in the clench between reason and imagination.
