- Ernie jumps to Rouxbe. Ern_dawg, I'm still annoyed you left SF before I got to visit!
- NYT crossword coming to the DS. A-W-E-S-O-M-E.
- Exploring the Indian Games Market.
- Shadowplay makes fantasy real. Williams: "I began it as a television series idea, then, when I ran into a certain incomprehension on the part of television producers — they don't tend to get fantasy — I made it an online serial, which was great fun. However, I realized I couldn't keep doing it forever in that form, so I added to the first year's serial and made volume one out of it."
- TARDIS USB hub. I need one of these now. "Time / Space Travel is not guaranteed with this device unless the user is the Doctor... sorry."
- Yahoo planning to add 100 web sites for entertainment. Interesting ploy. I'm not sure what I thin about this, except that it reminds me of the early days of SXSW: "Web nerd plans to launch 100 web sites for fun." George, I'm lookin' at you, buddy.
- TiVo taking on Nielsen with new ratings statistics. About damn time. The sooner we get a better stat tracking system the better.
- Luc Beeson installed the game developers on-set for Arthur and the Incredibles. We're seeing more and more of this behavior, which makes total sense. If the game is meant to extend the experience offered by the film, the best place to efficiently and affordably obtain assets is on the set.
- Warren Ellis, novelist. Brad Meltzer plugs Warren's upcoming debut novel (which I expect will be a total trip).
- Five steps to writing a synopsis. Interesting.
- Write a synopsis in Microsoft Word. Also interesting.
- BBC offers on-demand TV over the Internet. I wonder if I can watch Torchwood this way.
- Sci-Fi Wire's SHIFT on how Apple botched the iPhone. True, true. I still want one.
- Let it bii. Biitles!
I'm still in the Bay Area a LOT, so let me know if you're in the area.
Will do! There's a possibility I'll be headed out that way at some point this spring, since I'm going to be (gulp) looking for JOBS soon!
