- The time-honored "convergence culture" doctrines of MIT professor Henry Jenkins. Henry's a given in 2017.
- Design is seedy. Well, yeah.
- Vizio releasing 52" 1080p LCD for $2,200. I wonder if that would fit on my new mantel?
- How microstock is used. I know I'm trying to use microstock whenever possible here at CMS.
- Trees in the mist. A beautiful photo pool at Flickr.
- Ban homework. I would have loved this approach as a kid, and I will as a parent.
- iPhone sync tricks. I love my iPhone, but it does have its quirks.
- Remote Buddy turns iPhone into a remote. If it could control an AppleTV, I'd be sold.
- Richard Bartle's famous last words. Close World of WarCraft?!
- Man ordered to continue paying alimony despite ex-wife entering into a lesbian domestic partnership. Another argument for gay marriage as necessary for legal equality.
- NYT: 101 Simple Summer Meals. I love the Minimalist.
- NYT: Brazil: The Grand Tour. Will Self's essays on walks are enjoyably British for an American rag.
- Farscape revived as webisodes on Sci-Fi. HUGE news for both fans and new media analysts.

The Vizio looks good pricewise, but I can't see myself buying something that -- right out of the box -- is of lower quality than what I'd want. Right now, I'm eying the Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR5, due out in September. Don't know that I can really afford it (seeing as how I might have to get a new MacBook Pro pretty soon), but I'd probably rather wait until I can than go substandard.
(Of course, I'd really like Sony's 70" version, but no matter what happens, I don't see myself dropping 33 grand.)
