KSAI Promo
When I started building my 2000 portfolio, I'd intended
for it to be distributed on CD-ROM. The disc was meant to be
filled with bells and whistles, like animated commercials for each project
instead of static screenshots. One of these was this animated promo for KSAI: Kenyon Student Athletics Illustrated, an online sports magazine that I designed for its founder, my friend Ryan Depew.
The result was actually a nifty piece of work. The animation
was created by taking screenshots of the site, then turning
those screenshots into texture maps. The textures were then
applied to very thin slabs in Bryce, and animated over a
backdrop of the logo.
This piece was built using Photoshop, Bryce, and Premiere.
