Miriam's Kitchen is a soup kitchen in Washington, D.C. that offers a number of programs for its clients. One of these programs is a writing group. When Miriam's came looking for volunteers to help them design an anthology of client work, I quickly raised my hand.
The resulting book, 167 Wednesdays | 167 Thursdays, was co-designed by myself, Karen Jenkins and Sharon Reid, and was edited by the Miriam's Kitchen Executive Director, Ruth Dickey. The volume contains a collection of the most exceptional work from Miriam's after-breakfast art and writing workshops from 1998-2000.
If you would like a copy, Miriam's Kitchen sells copies as a fundraiser for $10 apiece. More information is available on their website.
167 Wednesdays | 167 Thursdays was produced using InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
