Kate Erin Photography
New York-based headshot photographer Kate Erin Gibson needed an identity package for her new company, complete with website. However, as she is planning to migrate from film to digital in the next 12 months, she wanted the website designed so she could update her online portfolio quickly and easily.
First, we designed a logo using clean typography and a hand-written feel to bring out her emphasis on personality. Then, for her site, we created a simple, streamlined look and feel that would load quickly on slower connections, followed by a subtle, smooth Flash animation for her homepage. Finally, we crafted a template for Adobe Photoshop's Web Photo Gallery, which will allow Ms. Gibson to simply drop new photos into a folder, click a few things in Photoshop, and upload the resulting output to her site. One, two, three, and her portfolio is updated with no HTML required.
As her transition continues, we plan to add bill payment options and an extranet for her clients to view their comp sheets online. For now, though, Ms. Gibson is enjoying a fast, easily-updatable site, delivered quickly and at a very affordable price.
Kateerinphoto.com was produced using Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, and hand-coded HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
