MIT Literature Program (LIT@MIT)

The challenge

After the CMS website redesign proved so successful, the Literature Department at MIT hired me to redesign their site as well. They wanted something elegant yet modern, reflecting the unique sensibilities of a literature program at a technical university.

The solution

Much like the CMS website, the LIT@MIT website was designed with strong colors in mind, but with a less busy and more refined sensibility than that of CMS. The new LIT@MIT logo I designed became a focal point, with sharp lines, sans serif fonts and multiple colorways. The design was rounded out with a collection of images sourced from students, faculty, a series of photo shoot sessions with me, and stock photography.

The tools

The LIT@MIT website was built using HTML, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and Adobe Photoshop.
