Renaissance Health

The challenge

Cambridge-based Renaissance Health is bringing a new philosophy to health care, and they wanted a website that reflected that approach. Their practice is a combination of both classical and modern thinking, and their design had to capture that same sensibility.

The solution

My work for Renaissance Health started with their logo design and expanded across their entire identity. I chose a cool blue palette and crafted a stylized line drawing of the Duomo in Florence, Italy that would serve as their logo. The site is all gentle curves and shapes, primarily white on a cool robin's-egg blue backdrop, with clean lines and elegant fonts and a friendly human face on every page. Section heads are set off with large pull quotes from John F. Kennedy and Margaret Meade, among others. I also hand-crafted a map illustration for the Contact Us page that adds an extra element of personal charm to the site.

The tools

Renhealth.net was built using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Movable Type, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
