The challenge

The Voice Disorders Center at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (MEEI) needed a site that emphasized both their cutting-edge expertise and their long history, including their strong ties to Harvard University. The challenge was bringing those two elements together into a working harmony.

The solution

The answer came in the form of a clean, timeless design wrapped around in-depth descriptions of the center's services interspersed with historical stories and artwork. The site was designed to be released in stages; the first stage was completed in 2002, and the second stage will be completed near the end of Spring 2003.

The tools

The Voice Disorders Center website was built using Adobe Photoshop and hand-coded HTML and CSS.
