Thadeus Project

The challenge

Thadeus Project is a Chicago-based art rock band that's on its way up. They came to me in 2005 to design and build a website for them that would blend the band's sensibility with the art of their resident visual artist, Garsot.

The solution

Given the dreamlike sense of the band's sound and Garsot's paintings, I gave the site a similar look and feel. The design is full of wavy edges and curves, with curling edges and gentle, cinematic title animations of Garsot's art on each page. I also designed an animation of the band's logo (which eventually found its way into the beginning of their 2005 Promo Video), their press kit and the album cover for their EP Just a Taste.

The tools

Thadeusproject.com was built using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, WordPress, sIFR, Apple QuickTime, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Flash.
